1. U.S. FDA-Approved Pharmaceutical Technology

Unlike cosmetics, which can be sold in the U.S. market without prior regulatory approval,

pharmaceuticals require rigorous evaluation and approval by

the FDA before they can be commercially distributed.

 

Raphas became the first company in the world

to receive FDA approval for a microneedle product,

thanks to our strict quality control processes and advanced DEN technology.

This achievement has enabled us to manufacture and

sell OTC (over-the-counter) pharmaceuticals.

 

OTC drugs, which are available in drugstores without a doctor’s prescription,

must meet exceptionally high safety standards and demonstrate

proven efficacy for a broad consumer base. 

 

In addition to obtaining this level of certification,

Raphas maintains industry-leading quality by applying

its cutting-edge technology protected by over 60 patents, across all of its products.

Our technology is also globally recognized, meeting standards such as

CGMP (Korea), CPNP (Europe), and NMPA (China).

 

2. Development of High-Quality UV Protection Sheets

Starting in 2025, Raphas will gradually expand the application of its newly developed

ultraviolet (UV) protection sheet, ultimately incorporating it into all of its products.

 

Photoaging caused by UV exposure accelerates skin aging,

leading to decreased elasticity, increased wrinkles, and pigmentation,

significantly affecting one’s perceived age.

Additionally, UV exposure exacerbates skin dryness, promotes excessive keratinization,

and intensifies redness, contributing to acne and other skin concerns.

As a result, effective UV protection is essential for comprehensive skincare.

 

Raphas’ newly developed UV protection sheet is made from materials certified with

the highest ratings(UPF 50+, SPF 50+, and PA++++).

It has been proven to block 95% of harmful UV rays, including over 99% of UVA rays.

This level of protection allows Raphas’ UV protection patch to be used independently for outdoor activities

while also enhancing skincare efficacy when integrated into cosmetic products.

 

By shielding the skin from UV damage and protecting active ingredients,

this advanced UV-blocking material provides a distinct competitive edge for your products.

 

3. Comprehensive Consideration of Quality, Packaging, and Design

Raphas’ commitment to delivering the highest-quality microneedle patches

extends beyond the patch itself.



Our products are carefully preserved until the moment of use

through tropical packaging incorporating desiccant films to absorb internal moisture,

as well as meticulously sealed individual blister packs.



For dissolving microneedles that dissolve upon contact with skin moisture,

such precise packaging is essential to maintaining needle integrity and ensuring optimal efficacy.

Raphas prioritizes product quality over cost-saving measures such as bulk or low-cost packaging,

dedicating meticulous attention to every component of our products.

 

This level of detail is also reflected in our product design.

Raphas has developed and implemented technology that

incorporates various colors into the microneedles and

sheets using the natural hues of active ingredients.



This feature not only allows users to visually observe the absorption process of active compounds into the skin

but also transforms patches from a mere functional skincare solution into a potential fashion trend,

redefining their role in the beauty industry.

 

Raphas' commitment to quality has yielded

remarkable achievements across various domains.

Our hyaluronic acid microneedles were selected

as a Next-Generation World-Class Product

by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) in 2024,

recognizing them as a leading product in the global market.



Additionally, Raphas has been awarded the Olive Young Awards

in the Patch/Targeted Care category

for five consecutive years (2020–2024) by Olive Young,

Korea’s largest health and beauty retailer.
